Obtain ChapStick®, remove wax, knob, and thread onto lever. | |
|
|
ChapStick® inside knob, Cut ChapStick® barrel to size, so it is short enough to clear set screws | |
|
|
|
Notched top boot spacer. |
|
|
Knob + chrome trim ring + top boot spacer. | |
|
|
Notched bottom boot spacer, also trimmed by 1" or more, screwed into top boot spacer (view with boot inside out from below). | |
|
|
Notched top boot spacer screwed into bottom boot spacer (outseide view of boot). | |
|
|
Check ChapStick® spacer fitment (note: tape included with knob) remove BEFORE going any further.. | |
|
|
Boot on shift lever, chapstick added last. | |
|
|
Slide knob over chapstick. Install set screws + blue loctite, thread chrome trim piece. | |
|
|
|
Final product! Note zero gap between chrome trim piece and top boot spacer. |
